Just Another Love Story written by Fate
Joe was an ordinary boy who went to school and
lived an ordinary life. First day in his new
school, he met met friends in his new class, Class
2-B. Anyway, his days were normal, hanging out
after school playing video games with friends, but
it changed quite a bit when they had this transfer
student from a not so popular school who quite had
a decent personality, a girl named Clarisa. She’s
not that beautiful but outgoing. Her life was
kinda intriguing since they don’t know her whole
family background and she never talked about it.
Joe actually had quite an interest in her but
didn’t even mention it to any of his friends since
there was this girl who was actually used to pair
by him but there wasn’t really something. But in
fact, they were already having informal
conversations through passing paper with a note in
it. They didn’t give it a big deal though since it
was like a normal day to day conversation until
they got caught up by a misunderstanding, which
triggered their untimely conversations to stop.
Time passed and Clarisa had quite a few friends
and soon had a boyfriend, John. John was quite a
popular guy but also quite a little mysterious.
They had it going for a few months and joe also
had quite and interesting love story by then. Joe
had a girlfriend in Class 2-M, Mary. Joe actually
swore that he’d give his all for Mary to make up
for his mistakes in his past relationship. But
things turned up quite a bit since Mary took
advantage of his kindness and somewhat left him
devastated. He had a rough time getting over it
and was quite hesitant to fall in love again. Joe
was having good times with her friends when he saw
Clarisa walk with John infront of them but tried
to ignore. None of the people knew they were
already separated but chose not to tell the people
about it. But a gossip leaked out and the
information with them breaking up caused a huge
stir up in the class. Might’ve been John or
Clarisa but it doesn’t really matter. One of Joe’s
best friends actually approached John about the
matter since it is creating quite a ruckus. By the
way, Joe’s friend, Tony is a class officer. Tony
then sympathized with John since he was quite in
pain at that time, words were released and bad
impressions were thrown at Clarisa. She tried
to talk with John about the issue and thought it
was already okay. But it was also rough for John to
move on and the issue continued between the two of
them. Clarisa was a girl who could easily fall in
love. She, who already moved on from what happened
actually liked another guy from the other class
but they never became lovers since they were
developed more in a brother-sister relationship. A
few weeks later, she was seen hanging out with one
of Joe’s friends, James. Clarisa was fond of James
since he’s sweet, caring and independent, her type
of guy. She even fell for him even though she knows
James has a girlfriend(studied at a different
school) and only treats her(Clarisa) like a
sister. Joe was quite intrigued by those two since
they’ve been so transparent lately. Though their
actions don’t mean anything for the two of them
but the people are already gossiping about them
having some kind of affair. The commotion quite
stirred up in class and John confronted James
regarding the issue. James clearly explained
everything but John kept on insisting that there’s
something and somewhat resulted in a fistfight.
Because of what happened, Clarisa realized that
she also is on the wrong side of the bed. She
realized her place and tried to move on and talked
about it with James. They concluded that maybe
they should minimize the time they spend together
and Clarisa also wanted to move on so James
respected it. After quite a while, the seating
arrangement was changed due to the homeroom
teacher’s decision of having the students sit
alternately into a boy-girl arrangement. Maybe as
fate made it happen, Clarisa ended up sitting
beside Joe. It felt awkward. It’s been a while
since they had a conversation. Around 2 days
passed after the changed seating arrangement they
still have not had a single conversation until
Thursday came and Clarisa can’t help but write a
note in a piece of paper and secretly put it in
Joe’s desk. After reading it, Joe then replied and
it went on until they started sending emails and
exchanged mobile numbers. Clarisa informed Joe
about her leaving town in a month since her parents
are gonna be working in a distant town so they
would probably need to transfer. They made a
promise to each other that they’d have a chance to
talk personally in the upcoming field trip since
it may be the last. Time went fast and it was
almost time for the class field trip. Everyone was
excited since the place they will be staying is
actually near a hot spring except for Clarisa.
She’s quite hesitant since there are some people
who doesn’t like her because of the rumors
spreading that she’s a FLIRT and only plays with
men’s hearts. So she didn’t look forward to it.
She even informed Joe about her uneasy feeling of
coming into the field trip. Joe neither left a
comment nor encouraged her to come. He was
somewhat disappointed. The day of the field trip
came and Clarisa said she might not come. Joe
still went to the field trip and enjoyed it. At
noon, he was shocked knowing Clarisa really came
but never left any sign for someone to notice. She
came for the sole promise that they could take
personally for the first time even though they
really don’t know what to talk to. Clarisa stayed
with her few friends and at night, they had a
bonfire at the backyard of the place they are
staying. The night was silent and their teachers
were off to get a few things from a distant store.
The boys actually waited for that exact moment
because they brought alcohol and want to share it
with the whole class. Some got drunk and some even
went puking all over. Clarisa was an example, she
drank too much since she was depressed knowing
that many people in the class actually thought ill
of her, she even went near James and tried to talk
but James went off instead, saying it’s really a
big turn off. Clarisa, drunk as ever, was a mess,
she was doing things the wrong way. Shouting,
crying, puking and even disturbing other people.
Only one person stayed by her side, Joe. He was
the only one who saw through the things she had
gone through and the why she reacted that way.
They had time to talk things out, how their life
went astray after they got the misunderstanding.
They went on and on almost until daybreak. Clarisa
never felt anything that special before, the
attention Joe gave her was like a prince saving a
princess. She did not hesitate to hold his hand
tightly and Joe was a bit shocked since he doesn’t
know what the action really means. He’s a
gentleman deep down inside and didn’t want to put
meaning into it. A few days pass by and Clarisa
was gonna leave town in a few days. She felt so
lonely about it since she’ll be leaving her
friends and specially Joe. She fell in love with
him as time went by, sending SMS to each other and
still, passing paper notes. But till then, they
never confessed to each other how they felt and
both felt uneasy. Clarisa’s classmates organized a
farewell party for her and it was on a KTV bar.
She undoubtedly invited Joe to the party and
everything went fine. Drinking was really a hard
habit to break for Clarisa’s friends so again, she
gave it a shot. She was quite tipsy and was
starting to feel confident and stayed real close
to Joe. "They are even more than a perfect match",
one of her friends said. They both smiled and took
it as a compliment but the night ended without
them telling each other. After that night, they
felt restless, they are itching to see each other
again. So much of the itch actually triggered them
to invite each other for coffee at a nearby mall
since she’s already leaving the day after.
Clarisa, full of excitement went ahead of time in
the mall and was kinda trembling. Joe was kinda
late due to making excuses for taking off from
school. He was nervous and don’t know what exactly
he should feel. When they saw each other, they
actually felt the same, AWKWARD. Its like their
first date! Nevermind the coffee but then Joe
asked Clarisa if she’d like to watch a movie at
that moment, without hesitation, she replied and
even went to buy tickets immediately. Before they
went to watch the movie they both went to the
toilet, not to make a piss but to fix themselves!
the tension was high between them and they don’t
know what to do eventually. They went to watch the
movie, unconsciously, their arms were already
tangled and their faces are already near… just
near enough for a kiss. They really can’t
concentrate on the movie since they can’t take
their eyes off of each other. The movie ended and
Joe sent her home. Clarisa invited Joe inside her
apartment to introduce him to her friends there.
After that she went to get him a cab for him to go
home. But at that very moment, they both can’t
suppress the feeling so they hugged each other
tightly and Clarisa’s tears kept flowing like
there was no tomorrow, she loves Joe so much that
she doesn’t want to let go. Same goes for Joe, the
feeling was so intense. They kissed, at that
moment, the message was conveyed to their hearts
and they treasured it. They loved each other so
much that they both confessed their feelings from
the moment they felt it. And the interest they had
when they first exchanged paper notes. Until then,
they still kept in contact with each other even
though Clarisa is living in another town. Their
feelings never faded, instead of getting faint
because of the distance, it even grew stronger
each day. They’d come visit each other some time
and soon they graduated, worked and saved money
for their future. They now have two kids(twins),
Rhizza Joyce and Ares Joe and are happily living
under a strong roof and a shelter with a solid
foundation called LOVE.
