an angel
as light enters my cornea,
my brain starts to respond
my heart beats faster
i see an angel sleeping
unconsciously taking my heart away
the innocence of her face,
the curl of her hair,
the smoothness of her skin,
she really is an angel
my brain doubting
my lens insisting that it’s true
i looked back again
stared carefully at her
she’s real!
i never thought of seeing such beauty
so enchanting, so captivating,
a face of an angel so charming
i couldn’t help but think of it
all these times…
is it wrong to fall in love with an angel?
is it a mistake that i looked into her face?
was it a sin to be enchanted by her beauty?
if that’s the case then i am guilty for it…
i’ll endure what it takes
but no matter what…
even if everyone stops me…
even if the sun won’t shine…
even if our worlds are apart…
iwhen the time comes
when that angel needs me…
i could also be
an angel as she is to me…
